Bruna Kajiya Takes Home First at GKA Cauipe Freestyle

The Cauipe Lagoon, known for its consistent winds and pristine flatwater, set the perfect stage for the second stop of the GKA World Cup Freestyle series. Mystic’s Bruna Kajiya showcased her dominance once again, claiming 1st place with a standout performance that keeps her firmly in the lead for the championship title.

Bruna took back-to-back wins in her heats with pristine technicality, power, and flow. Competing on home soil, she thrived on the energy of the Brazilian crowd, translating their support into one impressive ride after another. Highlights included a 9.0 for a standout Combo and a 7.7 for a Pete Rose, bringing her total to 32.63–– the highest women’s heat score of the competition.

Having already secured victory at the first stop in Dunkirk, Bruna’s win in Cauipe solidifies her position as the championship leader heading into the final event in Qatar. With two wins out of three events, she’s now in a prime position to compete for her fifth world title.
