Lorenzo Casati
About
Lorenzo Casati was born for the wind. Raised by Lake Como and finding his groove in Tenerife at 11, kiting was in his blood, thanks to his dad—one of Italy’s pioneering kitesurfers. He started out competing in Freestyle, but Big Air quickly stole his focus. He always wanted to go higher.
Few pro-kiters can match Lorenzo’s accomplishments at such a young age. By 2021, he was making his mark internationally at Full Power Tarifa, finishing 4th and proving Big Air was his calling. Just after, in his second competition, he took second place at Denmark’s Cold Hawaii. By 2022, he became the youngest-ever Red Bull King of the Air champion having just turned 17. It wasn’t luck—it was years of hard work and focus. Now, he’s determined to stay on top, putting in hours on the water whenever conditions allow, always pushing Big Air to new limits.
“Having my brother around is great—we’ve been training together for years. Now that Leo’s at such a high level, it pushes both of us to go even harder. In the end, we both want to come out on top. Competing against him makes it that much better.”
